Biography[]
The love interest of Avatar Aang in Avatar: The Last Airbender. She is the second child of the leader of the Southern Water Tribe. Katara is unique in her community as being the only waterbender in the whole south pole. She frees Aang from being trapped in the iceberg and helps him in his quest to end the war with the Fire Nation.
Katara's Feats[]
A tough girl in tough times. As a waterbender, she has the power to manipulate water and change its forms as she pleases. Although not particularly skilled in the arts of waterbending in the first part of the series, yet Katara was not totally hopeless. She was able to temporarily subdue a Fire sage like her warrior brother without learning how to like most people. Using basic waterbending, she assisted Aang on stopping Fire Nation tanks from attacking the Northern Air temple. She also was able to stand up to a sexist waterbending master and fend off few of his attacks with what little she knew and still be complimented by
him as an "excellent waterbender." When he agreed to teach her how to use her powers in combat, she became a force to be reckon with as she was not only able to become one of his best students, but briefly best an experienced firebender such
Katara, who recently learned waterbending, is able to take on the experienced Prince Zuko.
as Prince Zuko and the more deadly Princess Azula in the series finale. Her master and one of the best waterbenders in the world, Pakku, called Katara a master in her art. She also possess the ability to heal with her waterbending making her a suitable medical combat nurse. Katara has proven time and time again that she is a capable warrior.

case, when she dueled Master Pakku. Katara used her waterbending to help take down skilled royal Earthbenders with little effort at all and is shown to pose a threat to them. Katara is a valuable ally for the Avatar and is his most beloved one as well.
